NEW EVENT LOCATION - THE AUSTRALIAN LUTHERAN COLLEGE, NORTH ADELAIDE.

On Wednesday December 4, the Lighting of the Loving Tree Christmas Carols event will be held at the Australian Lutheran College. Cnr Jeffcott St & Ward St, North Adelaide.

You, along with your family and friends, are warmly invited to join us at our community carols concert which will be followed by the traditional Lighting of the Loving Tree.

With MC Scott McRae, there will be carols and performances by the Adelaide Male Voice Choir and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra brass ensemble, along with a special performance by students from St Peters Woodlands Grammar.

Gates will open at 6.30pm.  You can purchase cold drinks, coffee and tea, gelato, waffles and there will be FREE face painting for the children.

Carols commence at 7.30 pm, followed by the Lighting of the Loving Tree at 8.45 pm. We recommend you arrive early enough to allow time to find a car park.

Seating is provided.

A folded note donation on entry will be very gratefully received and Glowstix candles can be purchased for $4.

There is no need to RSVP for this event, just come along with your friends and family.

After the carols we proceed to the front of Calvary North Adelaide Hospital, 89 Strangways Terrace, North Adelaide (about 150m from the Australian Lutheran College) for the Lighting of the Loving Tree, accompanied by pipers from Scotch College.

The Loving Tree stands at the entrance to the Mary Potter Hospice and once lit it is a symbol of love at Christmas. Love for those no longer here, and a message of love to everyone in the Hospice at this time of year.

Around the tree there are named hearts of loved ones. The hearts are part of our ‘Light up the Hospice with Love at Christmas’ Appeal, to give the gift of loving and compassionate care to patients and their families in the Hospice at Christmas.
