Walk for Love - Sunday 23 May and 30 May 2021
North Adelaide - Elizabeth Vale - Walk for Me - Do your Own
You are warmly invited to join our annual Walk for Love: honouring the lives, courage and memories of your loved ones, while helping to raise vital funds for patient care at Mary Potter.
Donations to the Walk for Love ensure that patients and families can continue to experience exceptional end of life care at Mary Potter, now and in the future.
This year, for the first time, we will have two Walks to choose from.
The staff at Calvary Central Districts Hospital have kindly offered to host a walk of their own, to honour those in their community who have died in the Mary Potter Northern Supportive Care Unit. Anyone living out north who ordinarily would come to the North Adelaide Walk is welcome to come along to the local Walk if you prefer.
Given COVID-19 restrictions will still be in place, we will be taking every precaution to ensure your safety.
The North Adelaide Walk will have staggered starts throughout the morning. We will not be walking as a group this year, to minimise contact with others. When signing up, you will be asked to choose a timeslot to start your walk.
The Elizabeth Vale Walk at Calvary Central Districts Hospital will have walker numbers capped, to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
Both Walks will have a fundraising BBQ and cake stall, which you are encouraged to support.
You can register here.
If you need any information on the Walk for Love, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call on 08 8239 0119.
How to take part
There is no fee to join in the event, we only ask that you make a gift from your heart to support Mary Potter Care.
You can take part in the Walk for Love in North Adelaide on Sunday 30 May 2021, or the Walk for Love in Elizabeth Vale on Sunday 23 May 2021.
Alternatively, if you would like to get out into the fresh air and walk in memory of someone you care about, but you are not available on the day or you would prefer not to attend an organised event right now, we are offering a Do Your Own option this year. You choose when, where, what time and with whom during the month of May 2021. Find out more information here.
We would truly appreciate it if you would go an extra step to
fundraise in support of Mary Potter. If you choose to help us in this way, the online registration option automatically sets up a fundraising page which you can share with friends and family.
We are so grateful to everyone for their support as we raise funds for Mary Potter Care.
walk for me
Your loved can still be honoured, even if you can't join us at the Walk for Love. It may be too soon for you after the loss of your loved one, or you may have other plans and can't attend.
Each year we have volunteer walkers who will stand in for those who can't come to the Walk for Love. Your volunteer will wear a heart showing your loved one's name and will walk the 7km route in their memory.
We would be delighted to send you their photo after the event, so you can see who walked for you.
Walk for Me donations can be made here.
If you would like any additional information please email email@example.com or call us on 08 8239 0119.
