The Loving Tree stands at the entrance to Mary Potter Hospice and in December every year, it is lit up for 40 nights with thousands of twinkling lights as a symbol of love for those we wish to remember with love at Christmas.

You can give the most precious gift by dedicating a light on our Loving Tree. It is a beautiful way to celebrate a life of someone special at this time of year.

Not only will you shine a light on someone you love, but your gift will also support one of the many patients and families who will spend their Christmas in our care.

We would be so honoured to have your loved one remembered this year.

Dedicate a light

When you dedicate a light on the Mary Potter Loving Tree to remember someone you love, we will send you a heart with your loved one's name on it to hang on your own tree and display another heart with their name to our Loving Tree outside Mary Potter Hospice. Their name will also be included in an honour roll on our Lighting of the Loving Tree ceremony video, if you make your gift before 26 November 2021.

You can make a once-off tax-deductible donation to support the hundreds of patients and their families in our care at Christmas time.

We will send you a heart to hang on your own Christmas tree that recognises the love you have for Mary Potter at this special time of year.

2021 Lighting of the Mary Potter Loving Tree ceremony 

The 2021 Lighting of the Loving Tree ceremony will be a virtual event this year and be made available for you to watch at home or with family and friends on this web page from 8 December 2021.

Last year's Loving Tree Carols Concert featuring an ensemble from the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and voices of the Adelaide Male Voice Choir will also be available from this date.

To have your loved one(s) name(s) included in an honour roll we will feature in the ceremony video please make your gift on or before 26 November 2021.

Details of the recording will be included in your Loving Tree Pack that will be sent to you via Australia Post as soon as your gift is received.

Your pack will include:

• Information on how to access the Lighting of the Loving Tree ceremony video.
• A link to last year’s Carols Concert which we filmed with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra in their studio.
• A Christmas Carol Booklet.
• Commemorative heart(s) for you to hang on your tree at home.

If you dedicate a light, we will also place a heart bearing your loved one’s name(s) on the Loving Tree, located at the entrance to Mary Potter Hospice.
