Executive Director & The Mary Potter Team
Cathy Murphy - BMgmt (Mktg) MFIA -Executive Director

Cathy Murphy is the Executive Director for The Mary Potter Foundation commencing in August 2009.
Cathy has spent the past 12 years working within the not-for-profit sector in management and marketing roles with both local and national charities. Cathy feels privileged to lead The Mary Potter Foundation team to support the wonderful care and programs of the Mary Potter Hospice and Calvary Cancer Services. Cathy is motivated by the ability to deliver a positive impact to people’s lives.
Cathy’s other great motivation is in working with people who are passionate about what they do. She believes that achieving success is linked to shared values and goals, ‘can do’ attitudes and open minds to new ideas. Working in an industry where trust, ethics and transparency are vital, she advocates a ‘do the right thing and you’ll get the right results’ approach.
Cathy’s earlier career was within the advertising industry which led to her desire for formal qualifications in marketing. It was while studying her Bachelor of Management as a mature student that Cathy made the decision to make a career switch that would see her work for organisations where making a difference was the focus.
Cathy is married with two daughters.
